ABOUT MET?

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education. MET is an online entrance test offering student admission to the courses the Institution’s hosting. Programmes available for admission in Manipal university – MBBS, MD, MS, MSc, DM, Bachelor of Audiology and speech Pathology (BASLP), PG Medical Diploma, BSc Cardiovascular Technology (BSC CVT), BSc, BSC physiotherapy (BPT), B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc, BArch, BDes, BA, MA, and more.    

ELIGIBILITY:

A Candidate interested in any B.Tech programme must have cleared 10+2 intermediate/ A-level/ IB/ American 12th grade or any other recognized exam with Physics, English and Mathematics as a compulsory subject with a minimum of 50% including any other optional subjects (chemistry or Biology, Biotechnology or any other technical subjects).

A Candidate interested in taking a Lateral entry in any of the B.Tech programme must have a 3 year Diploma in Engineering approved by Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or have graduated with a BSc degree from a recognized University with the minimum of 45% marks and have Mathematics in their Intermediate Examination.

MET 2020 COUNSELLING:

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts the MET 2020 Counselling and seat allotment after the announcement of result. MET 2020 qualifying students are eligible to appear for the counselling procedure conducted in both offline and online mode. 

• In offline MET counselling and seat allotment 2020, candidates will have to report to the counselling venue for seat allotment. 
• Whereas in online allotment s candidate is required to fill in their details and fill in their choices for college online and seats after which only they will be allotted seats according to their merit.
• Candidates who had their seats allotted are required to deposit the institute fee to confirm their admission.
• A total of 4 rounds, online & offline, are conducted for MET 2020 counselling and seat allotment 
• An additional MET spot round counselling is also conducted if the seats remain vacant. 

MET 2020 offline counselling: 

• In offline mode of MET 2020 counselling a candidate had to visit the designated Institute to participate in the seat allotment process. A candidate had to register themselves at the registration counter of the institute, filling choices of branch as per the preference. 
• After registering, a candidate is required to submit the counselling (₹ 10, 000) and course fee (₹ 2, 95, 000) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Manipal Academy of Higher Education payable at Manipal or Udupi. 
• The next step in counselling procedure is Document Verification.

Documents required for Verification:

• Hall ticket of MET 2020

• Candidate’s Aadhaar card

• Class 10th mark sheet

• Character Certificate issued by the college/school

• Demand Draft of the counselling registration and course fees.

• Transfer certificate issued by the School/College 

• Parent’s PAN Card

• Passport size photograph (2 photos), One Stamp Photograph.

• Seat allotment is done on the basis of merit list in the order of highest to lower ranks by considering the choices of branches filled by the candidates.

• Candidates are required to report to the allotted institute for completing further admission process.

MET 2020 Online Counselling:

• Candidates who have been allotted seats in round 1 but have opted for participating in round 2 of the counselling (can modify their choices of MET 2020 counselling).
• Documents required for verification:

• MET 2020 Hall Ticket
• Aadhaar Card (Original)
• Class 10th & 12th mark sheet( for Date of birth)
• Pan card of the parents (original)
• Conduct certificate
• Authorization Letter
• Recent passport size photographs (2 photos)

Spot Round Counselling:

MAHE will conduct the spot round counselling for the seats which remain vacant after all the 5 rounds of counselling. Candidates participating in the spot round are required to register in online mode & report to the counselling venue per schedule.
