On Monday, the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court heard around 94 petitions concerning the NEET UG 2024 examination.
The case was prompted by complaints from 75 candidates who appeared for the exam at an Indore center. These students reported that their exam was severely disrupted on May 5 due to strong winds, a storm, and a power outage. As a result, they claimed they couldn’t complete their paper properly.
The court, in response, stated that the NTA (National Testing Agency) may go ahead and release the results for all candidates except the 75 petitioners. It was clearly directed that only the results of the 75 students who filed complaints should be withheld, while results for other candidates can be published as per the original schedule.
The NTA is expected to release the NEET UG 2024 results by June 14.
However, the case is still under legal consideration, with the next and final hearing expected after June 26. The outcome could impact the final result of the 75 students and may even lead to changes in the merit list.
